When opting for simultaneous interpreting, the interpretation takes place at the same time. The advantage of simultaneous interpretation is that it saves time and does not interrupt the flow of the speech. An interpreting booth is necessary for this form of interpreting.

Consecutive interpretation means that sentences or paragraphs are translated consecutively with the help of a notepad and a special note-taking technique.

Whispering interpreting constitutes a special form of simultaneous interpreting and should ideally be used only for individual listeners. No interpreting booth is necessary.

Liaison interpreting is suitable for meetings between business partners. The interpretation takes place after certain segments or every sentence.
